My Favorite Half-Night Stand by Christina Lauren
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I think this was my first book by these authors (how can that be) and I flew through my Netgalley copy. This is a light, fun, flirty romance. The book revolves around a group of friends and each of them are young professionals. Millie is the only female in the group of five. They are all invited to a speaking enagagement featuring Barack Obama and it is a black tie event with a plus one. The trouble is, none of them are dating anyone seriously so they decide they need to find a plus one for each of them. They agree to all join a dating site. It becomes complicated when Millie is matched with Reid, another member of their group. Millie has used a different name so Reid is unaware he is actually corresponding with Millie. Each of the friends become involved in what started out as a joke to Millie suddenly becomes very serious. I loved the characters and the writing. This was such a fun book with a great romance that I couldn’t put it down. I might need to binge read the other books by these authors.
