The Suspect (Kate Waters, #3)The Suspect by Fiona Barton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thank you to PenguinRandom House Canada for this free book for review. This is my third Fiona Barton book and it is my favourite. I was so happy that this one centered around Kate Waters, a reporter from the first two books. Although some of the characters reoccur in the books they can be read as standalones. Two English girls have travelled to Thailand and their parents have lost contact with them and reported them missing. Kate starts to get involved in the story regarding this case. Coincidentally Kate believes her son Jake is somewhere in Thailand. Her family has not been able to get in contact with him and Kate is concerned. As the parents learn two girls have been found dead, Kate and the families travel to Thailand. In the meantime while she’s there she searches for her son. Once the girls are identified Kate starts to find some connections between them and her son. She finds Jake in jail and upon his release and return to England Kate starts to find out some things about Jake that are very concerning. I really enjoyed this book and was engaged from start to finish. I’m interested to see what the author comes up with next!
