The Light Over London by Julia Kelly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Thank you to SimonandSchuster Canada for a free copy of this book for review. This book is told in two time periods, during WW2 and present day. Louise is the central figure from the war that is featured in the book. It was amazing to hear what her job had been in London, during the war, because I didn’t realize women held these positions. (You will have to read the book to find out what it is). Cara is the central figure in present day. After a recent divorce she has moved to a small town and her job is to authenticate the value of items for estate sales etc. She finds a diary that intrigues her and she sets out to learn more about what has happened to the woman who wrote it. Both time lines are interesting and intersect. I thought this book was well written and well researched and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with these characters.
