Moonlight Over Manhattan by Sarah Morgan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I really enjoyed this book. I was in the mood for a happy Christmasy book and this was perfect. I loved the characters and the writing. Harriet has set a goal for herself to become more social and outgoing and has even been trying online dating - although that has been a disaster. She is also preparing to spend Christmas on her own for the first time as both her siblings will be busy. Harriet is a dog walker and she agrees to help her client out by assisting the client’s brother, Ethan, while he babysits his sister’s dog. It turns out Harriet has already met Ethan, who is an ER doctor, during a trip she took to the hospital with a sprained ankle. They get off to a rocky start as Ethan is definitely not a dog person initially. Harriet is a wonderful character, quirky, kind, cute, and optimistic. As she spends more time with Ethan they grow closer as does Christmas. This is a nice romance story. Both characters are interesting and watching their relationship develop is very heart warming. I really liked this book and recommend it if you are looking for a lovely Christmas story.
